When Mortibody gets low on HP, it drains HP from Seymour, so it can't be defeated, kupo! But if you take out Seymour first, problem solved! Hit Seymour with holy damage, then defend yourself against his magic attacks with abilities like Magic Break and Shell, or even use the summon Carbuncle to cast Reflect on the whole party!
